Step inside love....

Hello and welcome you lovely people to my new and hopefully exciting vintage blog! (Collective gasp from the audience).

Yep that's right, hopefully i will endeavour to entertain all you good people, with my daily trials and tribulations, showcase some of my inspirations and my not inconsiderable collection of vintage tat (erm, sorry... finery), not to mention a walloping dollop of all things glorious and glamourous according to little old me!

I will be doing book reviews, outfit posts, best beauty buys on a budget, cretin of the week, (there is a backlog, believe me), plus the odd giveaway. I will also be taking you handsome creatures on a tour of some of the best vintage shops, hostelries, bordellos and places of local interest in and around Rye. (Basically i'm going to do some unashamed plugging of my place of work and all the places my lovely friends work in and places i adore, so you will just have to put up with it. If that part of my blog fills you with thoughts of abject horror and anxiety, i can provide eau de toilette on a lacy hanky, smelling salts and a fainting couch, please just email me in advance, ta).

Oh and may i just say a huge thanks to the delicious Michael and Mikey from Hunter Jones Vintage, (more about these dreamboats later), who basically dragged me kicking and screaming into the 21st century and helped me set up this blog. (Actually they did all the work, in fact it was there idea i set this up in the first place,  i just stood outside their shop and smoked some fags and vogue-ed a bit at some passing traffic until they were done, same as most days). I have long harboured thoughts of doing a blog, seeing as i read some pretty amazing ones on a daily basis, but being a bit of a technophobe, i had yet to take the plunge, until they did me a great turn and set the wheels in motion. I couldn't have done this without you guys! (Seriously i could not have done it without these guys, my idea of the latest must-have gadgets is a set of marcel wave clips and an abacus, so take from that what you will)!!

Ok, let's kick off with a nice music post.

WARNING
There's a turban, a five foot headdress, enough diamante and marabou to give Joan Collins a migraine and a turquoise pantsuit, not to mention the inimitable style and all round genius of one of my fave artistes of all time. Enjoy!
